Tree hook – ReMakeIt hook boards (K50)

Leeds Wood Recycling has created a range of kits so you can get crafty while helping divert wood waste from landfill and support LWR at the same time!

ReMakeIt kits are great gifts for loved ones, or can be a fun activity for yourself! You can then either gift the finished product… or not! You could just make your home look bling instead!

All our kits come with the basic ingredients you need to fix up your project, alongside a ‘how to’ worksheet. You may need a few tools, like a screwdriver, but we’ve tried to keep everything cheap and simple for you.

Please note: We no longer use Danish oil in our kits, instead using natural beeswax. Beeswax offers a more natural finish and doesn’t encounter the same problems with postage! There is information in the leaflet guide that go in your kits of how to use both Danish and Beeswax incase you want to use your own oli at home.

We have three ReMakeIt options, so you can choose how messy you want to get. They come:

Raw – The timber is fresh from our recycling yard, ready for you to sand it back to life. Once sanded you can use the natural beeswax to finish the wood – giving a fantastic finish. Two coats should do the trick, with a buff between layers,  then assemble the hook board yourself. Kit includes:

• 1 x Un-sanded board (Approx. 50cm long x 12 cm wide)
• 3 x Tree hooks
• Approx 9g of hard beeswax
• 20cm of 80 & 120 Grit sand paper
• Screws
• A how to guide

Sanded — We take the mess out of the process and sand it for you in-house. Then, you can add a natural beeswax finish and assemble the board yourself. 

Kit includes:

• 1 x Sanded board (Approx. 50cm long x 12 cm wide)
• 3 x Tree hooks
• Approx 9g of hard beeswax
• Screws
• A how to guide

Assembled – Our amazing volunteers will make the board for you! All you need to do is have a brew and come and pick it up when it’s ready!

Kit includes: 

• A finished, waxed and sanded hook board!

All of our kits are made by our amazing volunteers using 100% repurposed timber. Exact measurements and timber may vary slightly due to the nature of the recycled timber.
